Hey folks,
Sorry I haven't posted anything here in a while. I've been writing nonstop for a while now, minus a couple month break to build some studio gear for recording. I've finally breathed enough solder fumes, got some nice vintage preamps modded and rebuilt, a whole bunch of new studio tools that I made because I'm too cheap to pay someone for something I can make, and I'm back on music full time. In fact, I've attached a demo version of a new song called Lonesome.
I went to the post office the other day to send a couple records to Canada, and I was charged 75 dollars for shipping. It was about 30 last time I sent something to Canada not very long ago. I couldn't get any explanation of what the fees were and I can't find anything online. The duty was 8 bucks, which I paid because the guy who ordered it gave me a little extra. This charge was simply listed as a tax which was more than 100% of the shipping. It might have been a mistake the clerk made, but again, no one could explain anything to me so I have no idea what happened. I assume this is related to more Trump inanity, but I haven't been able to figure it out one way or the other.
So international shipping is going to be a pain in the ass, hopefully only until this Filet-O-Fish diarrhea filled diaper man is gone, but I'm not holding my breath for another geriatric pants shitter on the other side of the aisle to swoop in and fix everything.
In the meantime, I will be contacting each person who places an international order to figure everything out on a one on one basis. Or, contact me before placing an order and we'll see what the best option is.
